The Tutoring and Assessment Centre provides tutoring for college courses, management of college placement tests, supervision services for tests and quizzes in online courses that require tests in a supervised environment, exam management and pre-nursing tests for various programs, Pearson VUE tests, CLEP tests, monitoring of distance learning tests, complementary services for students with disabilities and basic skills courses in test execution, memory and computer anxiety. Due to limited seating capacity due to the COVID-19 virus, Testing Services is able to offer surveillance services to students currently enrolled only at Utah colleges and universities. Students who wish to take tests in a location other than one of the above locations must have an approved examiner who will complete all exams. It is the student`s responsibility to ensure an acceptable invigilator and to ensure that a student-supervisor agreement form is completed and submitted to the Lake Land College Tutoring and Testing Centre. The student must pay all fees associated with the examination supervision. Costs may include envelopes and postage for the return of tests and/or special monitoring fees. If you live outside of Salt Lake County, you can arrange remote monitoring. An examiner is someone who is not connected to you and who is present to ensure a safe testing environment without distractions or resources that could compromise the integrity of the exam. Qualified examiners shall be employed by one of the entities listed in point 2. To request monitoring services from SLCC, complete and submit the Monitoring Services Request Form. The Instructional Test Centre guidelines apply to all supervised exams. Some institutions also require you to submit a form for monitoring services. If this is the case, you can use the following contact information for our testing services: If you are attending a college or university in Utah and need to take a supervised exam, SLCC offers proctoring services for $25, which are paid online when you make an appointment.
Supervision services are free of charge for current SLCC students and staff. We will check the status of the student/staff if this is indicated on the form. EXCEPT TO THE EXTENT THAT THE COLLEGE BOARD OF GOVERNORS AND ITS AGENTS AND CONTRACTORS HAVE FULL LIABILITY TO YOU OR ANY PERSON WHO CLAIMS BY OR THROUGH YOU OR ON YOUR BEHALF FOR ANY CLAIM, LOSS, COST OR DAMAGE ARISING OUT OF OR RESULTING FROM OR RELATED IN ANY WAY TO THE COLLEGE BOARD OR ANY TEST ADMINISTRATION BY THE COLLEGE BOARD OF GOVERNORS, UNLESS STRICTLY PROHIBITED BY LAW, FOR ANY REASON, THE TEST REGISTRATION FEE YOU PAID TO THE COLLEGE BOARD OF TRUSTEES (IF ANY) OR $100.00, WHICHEVER IS GREATER, CANNOT BE EXCEEDED. IN ADDITION, THE COLLEGE BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND ITS AGENTS AND CONTRACTORS SHALL IN NO EVENT BE LIABLE FOR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL, INDIRECT, PUNITIVE, EXEMPLARY OR SPECIAL DAMAGES. As a test center for Pearson VUE, Lake Land College offers computer-assisted tests for GED, admission to teacher training programs and licensing exams, CompTia, CISCO and many other certification/consulting test programs. Any dispute between you and the College`s Board of Directors will be resolved by binding arbitration in accordance with Section 10 of this Agreement.
